John F. Campbell, III is a Senior Associate at Schwartzapfel Lawyers who helps individuals who have been seriously injured due to the negligence of others.

John began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney where he successfully prosecuted many cases ranging from low-level misdemeanors to serious violent felonies.

During his tenure with the District Attorney's Office, John was appointed to the Economic Crimes Bureau where he continued to hone his litigation skills and gained significant investigation experience with respect to sophisticated financial and white-collar crimes.

After leaving the District Attorney's office, he joined a prominent medical malpractice firm where he aggressively defended complex medical liability and negligence claims against hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and health care organizations.

This position enabled him to receive training directly from medical professionals regarding the proper standard of care. John also gained invaluable experience as outside counsel for a well-known general liability firm directly representing insurance carriers. He has since utilized this specialized training in the prosecution of construction site injuries, motor vehicle collisions, premise liability matters, and catastrophic injuries.

In addition to his zealous and compassionate representation of his clients, John has helped to train the next generation of attorneys as an adjunct professor at The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. When he’s not helping clients, John enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
